JSON Schema Viewer

Paste a JSON Schema to explore it as an interactive diagram instead of scrolling through nested JSON. Useful when getting to know an unfamiliar API payload or config schema.

What you get

  • A Tree tab: a pan-and-zoom diagram of objects, arrays and oneOf/anyOf/allOf combinations that you expand card by card.
  • $ref pointers into $defs or definitions are followed, so referenced types open in place.
  • A detail panel with each field's type, description, required flag and constraints.
  • Field search (press / in the tree), Expand all, Collapse all and Fit to screen.
  • A JSON tab with the formatted schema; switch tabs with Ctrl E (⌘ E on a Mac).

Good to know

A document is recognised as a schema when it has a JSON Schema $schema URI, or schema keywords such as properties, items or $defs alongside type. Schemas written in YAML are shown as plain YAML.
