Code Input Area

Paste XML here, or drop an .xml file.

XML Formatter & Viewer

Paste XML to turn a single line of markup into readable, indented elements with syntax highlighting: SOAP payloads, RSS feeds, Maven POMs, SVG or config files.

What you get

  • Formatted by Prettier's XML plugin, with the indentation you choose (Settings → Tab size).
  • Collapsible elements in the output.
  • One-click copy of the formatted result.

Good to know

XML that isn't well-formed (a bare & is the usual cause) is still re-indented on a best-effort basis, with a note saying where the problem is. SAML metadata and other XML carrying an <X509Certificate> element is shown as decoded certificate details instead.
